What customers say?

“ My favorite boba place near campus! All of their teas are so good! Highly recommend getting their Charcoal Roasted Oolong milk tea, and their Hojicha and Matcha lattes! The baristas are super friendly and they offer samples of their milk teas as well! ”

“ What a great find! Ordered a second drink since the first was awesome. I got the Osmanthus black milk tea which was really good, definitely one of the top milk teas I’ve had in the bay. Got the Maesil Fizz next which was pretty unique as well and I was pleasantly surprised by it. It wasn’t too sweet and tasted great! Next time I’ll try the matcha as that also looked pretty good Overall, really great boba spot nestled inside the SoFa food Market. Top 5 boba spot in the bay for sure ”

- Thomas Jens -

“ This new boba spot has a variety of different specific tea selections which is a nice change from generic black tea at other spots. The misugaru latte was super unique, I’ve never had it anywhere else and would definitely recommend it. I’ll definitely be back to try the charcoal roasted oolong once it’s in stock. ”

“ I wish I could rate this a 5 because of how good the matcha was, but I think the overall experience could use some slight work! DRINKS: Like others mention, the default here is oat milk with no extra charge. Super huge fan as a lactose intolerant human! The matcha is not grainy at all, super smooth and excellent color. PRICE: This latte was $6.50, about $7 with tax and no tip. Not a crazy price for the Bay Area but definitely on the steeper side. LOCATION: Parking can be difficult (as anything in downtown). This is located inside the SOFA Market, so there are a few small tables next to the stand itself if you want to enjoy inside. The service is with a tablet, and there was just one barista. Nothing unfriendly, but not a personal experience as with other cafés. If you're just looking to grab and go, definitely a great choice. If you're trying to stay and hang out, perhaps a different spot is for you! ”

“ Iscu is definitely an underrated milk tea spot and one of my favorites in the Bay Area. The baristas are patient and friendly – they took the time to explain the difference between all the milk tea samples they offered. Rest assured each sample had their own unique taste but a STRONG tea flavor. They also have creative selection of rotational drinks, adding on to their exotic list of milk teas. Jasmine Green Tea (less sweetness): Very floral and the perfect amount of sweetness. One of my favorite drinks and would recommend for all to try. Strawberry Milk Hojicha (less sweetness): The strawberry milk and hojicha intertwined to have a unique but contrasting taste that left my taste buds confused but curious at first. It was a creative concept, but after a few sips and melting of ice, the hojicha became the dominant taste. Would recommend to those who love hojicha! Overall, due to their distinguished and distinct selection of teas, samples offered , and service, I would recommend everyone to try Iscu tea at least once! ”

“ Tried the matcha latte and strawberry matcha latte. I got the default sweetness both times but I would get it sweeter next time. Pretty good matcha. Limited street parking if it's busy in the area. Located in the SOFA market, decent amount of seating inside and outside, and they have bathrooms inside. ”

“ What a hidden gem! This is a more novelty milk tea option in the Bay Area. Very unique menu with a few classics in there too. I came during their soft opening, so I'm sure they will add more menu items (and boba) very soon! I was really intrigued by their oolong milk tea options, and my barista was able to give me milk tea samples to compare them!! I decided on the Charcoal Roasted Oolong Milk Tea, which was sooooo good. Fragrant, not too creamy, and the roast wasn't overpowering! A really good quality oolong. SIDE NOTE: The parking meters outside cost 50¢ per 15 minutes. This shop is located inside SOFA Market! ”

“ Excellent premium milk tea. Extensive menu of specific origin teas. Milk teas are rich and creamy since they use milk powder. Located inside a food hall. ”
